Maps of School Families NOW Available for Peel Disctrict School BoardThe Peel District School Board arranges its secondary schools and feeder schools (elementary and middle school) into groups called "families". PDF maps of schools in the Peel District School Board are available for download on their website. If you are new to the board and you are wondering about the location of a school you have been called to, they are located here, on the PDSB website. The families are named after the secondary schools in the area. Of course, these maps will clearly display the catchment area of schools in the board. A "catchment area" defines all neighbourhoods inside the secondary school boundary. This means you will get a good idea of which part of Peel Region these schools reside. If you live outside the catchment area of these schools and are planning a route from your home, Google Maps might still be necessary. For the sake of legend, the black squares are the secondary schools; the black triangles are the elementary schools. The middle schools are the black circles. On any given school year, the Peel District School Board gives out copies of Directions, an atlas of all schools in the Peel Region. The maps are exactly as depicted in the PDF files on the Peel website. To obtain your copy of Directions, simply go to the Board Office on 5650 Hurontario Street (corner of Highway 10 and Matheson) in Mississauga and ask for a copy. |
